Scholarships and Grants


Financial opportunities available to students through OSUTeach

OSUTeach Scholarships 

OSUTeach Scholarships are available to students who have declared an OSUTeach major. Majors include Biological Science, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics or Physics with an option in Secondary Teacher Certification. OSUTeach Scholarships have ranged in the past from $500 - $1,500 and will be awarded in Spring 2018 for the 2018-2019 academic year. You must have declared an OSUTeach major by the application deadline to be considered. To apply for the OSUTeach student scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year, you must apply to the College of Education, Health, and Aviation scholarship application. Look at the bottom of the page for the button specifically for OSUTeach students.

TEACH Grants

 

OSUTeach students can apply for TEACH (Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education) grants. Students receive up to $4,000 per year by committing to teach in a high-need field, in a low-income district for four years within eight years of graduation. website  

 

 

TSEIP

 

OSUTeach students who plan to teach in Oklahoma after graduation can receive reimbursement for eligible student loan expenses or an equivalent cash benefit through TSEIP (Oklahoma’s Teacher Shortage Employment Incentive Program). Students must teach in an Oklahoma public secondary school for at least five years. website

 

 

Noyce

 

Students interested in pursuing teaching can apply for a paid summer internship (Freshmen/Sophomores). OSUTeach Juniors and Seniors can apply for a $10,000 Noyce Scholarship, and OSUTeach seniors who demonstrate financial need can apply for a $5,000 scholarship the semester they are student teaching. Noyce scholarship information will be emailed directly to declared OSUTeach majors once applications are open. SMED 1011 and 2011 Scholarship

 

SMED Scholarships ($125) are awarded to students who successfully complete SMED 1011 Inquiry Approaches to Teaching - Step 1 and/or SMED 2011 Inguiry -Based Lession Design - Step 2 with a grade of "C" or better. For more information, click HERE.
